Clayton Waski
Civil and Environmental Engineering 2027
Monroe, WI
Sometimes there's a man, and we're talking about Clayton Richard Waski here (film connoisseurs such as he may recognize The Big Lebowski reference). Driving down every semester from Monroe, Wisconsin, he is the embodiment of a classic midwestern dad (in the best way, we swear). Our resident Claytrain was an offensive lineman and linebacker for his high school football team, the Monroe Cheesemakers. His music taste is just as dad-like as his favorite movies (see: The Big Lebowski). You can catch him blasting classic rock at any opportunity, or singing Santeria at every Karaoke night he attends. His musical inclinations don't end there, just ask him to play the baritone saxophone for you! An absolute academic weapon, this Civil and Environmental Engineering major (specializing in Structural Engineering and seeking a certificate in Engineering Leadership) will talk your dam ear off about anything you could imagine (civil engineering related or otherwise). Genuinely, anything. Ask him about his specialties: water, concrete, bridges, and dirt! Clayton is super excited for O-Week, and any new student would be lucky to have him as an advisor and mentor.

Lindsey Frost
Business, Sport Managment (Law) 2026
San Diego, CA
If you ever go to a football game and see a group of lovely dancers cheering on the team, know that your O-Week mom, Lindsey, is among them! Lindsey is Will Rice's biggest butter noodles enthusiast (*sigh*) and known for being one of the most hype Will Ricers. All jokes aside, this Business and Sport Management major from San Diego, California is one of the most gorgeous, energetic, and kind people you're going to meet here at Rice. Lindsey is part of the Rice Owls Dance Team, Rice Rally Club, Rice Sailing, and so much more on campus. You can usually find Lindsey somewhere in commons but she also loves to dance and go on runs in her free time! If you ever need someone to hang out with or a buddy to go to Pub with, Lindsey is your person!

Brendan Llyod
Sport Analytics, Finance 2028
Sammamish, WA
Hailing from the land of coffee and towering evergreens is Brendan Lloyd, from Seattle, Washington (devoted sports fans may catch the subtle nod to the Seahawks in his wardrobe.) Even though Brendan doesn't drink (despite his craziness during Beer Bike), he is always the life of the party and knows every single lyric by heart. He's already traversed the country, spending time in Chicago, Michigan, and Texas, soaking up every city's unique sports culture. Brendan harbors an absolute encyclopedia of sports knowledge, he genuinely knows everything and anything about any game, team, or stat. If you're a sports fanatic, Brendan is your guy. He could easily stand at 6?7? if he ever fully committed to basketball, despite his laid-back Seattle roots. His go-to meal in the servery is pasta and Powerade, though Panda Express will always have his heart. In the future, you will find him in the front office of any sports team, running the numbers and leading them to success every step of the way.
