Game of Clones

Bella Hendricks

Biochemistry 2028
Houston, TX

Most commonly observed in her natural habitat, Brochstein Pavilion, a wild Bella can easily be identified from nearly 100 yards away by her iced matcha, signature Birkenstocks, and contagious smile. As a biochemistry major and medical humanities minor on the pre-med track, Bella knows a thing or two about hitting the books and will always help you find good study spots, find great research, or navigate the Texas medical center. She may be a pre-med, but she has mastered the economic ability to justify any food purchase. Want to get boba with her? Immediate yes. Want to get coffee at chaus? Her wallet is out. Whatever the occasion, this outgoing Houston resident knows her away around town and is always down for a snackish side quest in her Toyota from circa 1987. While on campus, this tri-sport athlete can be seen biking on the track, scoring touchdowns on the field, or trying to convince you to join club lacrosse.
As one of Will Rice's health advisors, Bella is always there to help navigate any mental health struggles and give you any medications or supplies. With her fun loving spirit, she is thrilled to help you through your journey at rice.

Pieter Versloot

Mathematic Economic Analysis, Business Finance 2027
Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Pieter is a funny, active, tall Dutchman from Amsterdam who cannot pronounce aluminum or Capri-Sun. He's a Math-Econ and Finance major who brings joy to those around him. His natural habitats include the Rice Recreation Center, the music room, and the local Chipotle. I met Pieter at the international student orientation a few days before O-Week '23 and have been his close friend ever since. It does not matter if you are shy or a stranger, he will find a way to connect with you and become friends. He likes to think he's a great singer and guitarist and goes to the gym 6 times a week (even though he does not look that big yet). He's a great person and loves talking and learning about others. Do NOT tell him any secrets, though, because his voice is uncontrollably loud. All jokes aside, if you get Pieter as an O-Week dad, prepare for a lot of fun and laughs (mainly because he loves laughing at his jokes). He may seem intimidating and scary initially, but he's a big softie you can rely on!

Chioma Modilim

Psychology and Theatre 2026
Wake Forest, NC

Picture this: you've just landed in Houston, it's 105 degrees, your water bottle exploded in your backpack, and you're low-key questioning every life decision that led you here. Then, like something straight out of a feel-good movie, Chioma appears. Hailing from Wake Forest, North Carolina, double-majoring in Psychology & Theatre with a minor in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chioma is here to put you at ease! Her support is unwavering, and she has this uncanny ability to make you feel seen and absolutely unstoppable. She loves theater DOWN, can casually weave psychology concepts into conversation like it's tea, and has a laugh so vibrant you'll hear it from across the quad. Oh and she's actually hilarious. Like, the kind of funny where her comebacks are so quick and unexpected you'll be laughing about them days later. She'll hit a split mid-dance battle, then pivot to helping you figure out your class schedule or talk through a roommate situation over boba. A dance champion, anime aficionado, thrill-seeker, and low-key artist, Chioma is a walking highlight reel of creativity, care, and chaos (the good kind). If you've been assigned to Chioma, congratulations! You didn't just get an O-Week mom, you got the best one :)

Ravi Brock

COMP 2027
Fayetteville, AR, USA

Do you know that one person who's just effortlessly cool without even trying? That's Ravi Brock. A rising junior from Arkansas studying Computer Science, Ravi transferred to Rice from the University of Waterloo and has been making his mark ever since. When he's not in his classic white tee and jeans, he's suited up in his Baker Beer Bike team uniform, setting his newest PR. He's quite the athlete, but he's also super humble about it. You'll probably catch him vibing to indie music, getting shredded in the gym, absolutely crushing some LeetCode, or quietly cracking jokes that sneak up on you and make you laugh way harder than you expect. Ravi's the type of advisor you want in your corner, so if you get the privilege of being your O-Week advisor, you'll be set up for the best first year at Rice.
