Alex Suh '24 | he/him

Beaumont, TX  |  Biosciences, Neuroscience (Pre-Med)

Alex Alexander Suh is a pre-med Bioscience major from Beaumont, Texas. The envy of all he encounters, he’s the sweetheart of Will Rice College and favorite patron of countless Houston soup restaurants. If there’s a single noodle about to be dunked in a meaty broth, Alex will be there ready to slurp it down. He’s the most fun guy you could hope to be around, especially if you can get him to scream at the top of his lungs, which is even easier to do than losing to him at Smash Bros. When Alex walks into Commons, the room erupts into raucous applause, the excitement overflowing from a mere glimpse of our precious cherub. He gives advice as if he’s lived a thousand lives and aces the hardest exams without even bringing a pencil. If there’s a single thing a Will Ricer regrets after leaving for the summer, it’s that they didn’t get enough time with the beautiful and handsome and extremely hot Alex Suh.

Ben Bridges '26 | he/him | Wiess College

Charlotte, NC / San Francisco, CA  |  Mechanical Engineering, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Engineering Design

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It’s Ben Bridges, in a tree?? Also known as Benihana, Ben can often be found scaling Rice’s many trees (or anything climbable he can find). Tree climbing is not his only talent, however. From unicycling to chess, Ben has experience with basically every hobby there is. Hailing from Charlotte but born in San Francisco, Benihana is a bi-coastal, bright-eyed, bald-headed beauty that will never fail to cheer you up. A Mechanical Engineering and Ecology double major ready to invent the world’s next wheel, he’s also an amazing friend – always equipped with insightful advice or great music recommendations. There’s not many people at Rice that are as caring and genuine as Ben. When he’s not winning the next Wiess intramural league in lemon-covered pajama pants (he’s got a killer wardrobe) or zooming around on his skateboard, you’ll find him studying in Wiess Commons until 4 AM. Ben is dedicated to making sure you all have the best  year possible – just as he was dedicated to going bald for Wiess during Beer Bike. Whether you need a listening ear or a fun night, you’ve hit the jackpot with Ben Bridges as an O-Week dad.

Catherine Nguyen '25 | she/her

The Colony, TX  |  Health Sciences, Biochemistry (Pre-Grad)

Is she a freshman? No! She’s just baby. (Don’t let her cute face and mannerisms fool you into thinking she’s younger than she is.) Catherine is a Will Rice junior studying Health Sciences originally from The Colony, Texas. Catherine is ultimate wifey material (she’s ours though so back off). From cooking pandan waffles to making you the cutest care packages when you’re going through it, this woman can do it all. When times get rough, she is always there to sit with you, listen, and talk through anything. But don’t make her choose where to eat because all the restaurants will be closed by the time she makes a decision. Something she can decide on though is that any time is a great time to take photos, so prepare to have your phone stolen so she can selfie bomb it. This plushie lover (she has the world record plushie collection), boba connoisseur (hit her up for free drinks), Jibbitz collector (compliment her Crocs!), and photographer mom friend will love you with her whole heart <3 – this babe will take care of you and remind you of the good in this world. Get ready for Catherine to Nguyen you over hehe!

Elena Carusetta '26 | she/her

Phoenix, AZ  / Houston, TX  |  Mechanical Engineering

Congrats on getting Will Rice’s sweetheart as your Advisor! Elena is from PHOENIX, Arizona (the Will Rice pride is already rooted in her). Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, she is an absolute academic weapon who is ready to take on the world and has a passion for being creative. You’ll really get to see her creativity shine when she asks you some of the world’s most interesting questions. She loves reading, especially fantasy books, and will give you an entire list of book recommendations if you ask. When she’s not using her random number generator app, she’s probably hard at work in RHA  training, sharing funny cat TikToks, or adding songs into her “a little bit of everything playlist” that is 133 hours long!!! She is a great listener, gives great advice, will make you laugh so hard you can’t breathe, and overall one of the most genuine, kind people you will ever meet. She is so so SO excited to meet you!!!
